Owen Omogiafo on the List of 100 Most Influential African Women in 2020

The President/CEO of Transcorp Owen Omogiafo has been named in the list of 100 Most Influential African Women
She was named by Leading African PR & Rating firm, Avance Media in recognition of her role as a leading inspiration for young women across the continent

Other leading ladies in the The 2020 Most Influential African Women List include Transcorp’s Non Executive Board Member, Toyin Sanni, Tony Elumelu Foundation Chief Executive Officer Ifeyinwa Ugochukwu and Nigeria’s Honorable Minister of Finance Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed

In her acceptance speech, Owen Omogiafo appreciated Avance Media for the recognition and stated “ this award is an impetus to do more as I look forward to inspiring more women to create sustainable impact in their individual lives, organisations and communities.

According to Prince Akpah, Managing Director of Avance Media, the list is focused on women who are leading various initiatives across the continent and seeks to present them as role models for the younger generation. He further noted that they were selected because of their incredible achievements as women and they deserve high recommendations among other female trailblazers in Africa.

Criterions for selection included: Excellence in Leadership & Performance, Personal accomplishments, Commitment to sharing knowledge, Breaking the Status Quo and being an accomplished African Woman.
